CPPSEC20218 Certificate II In Security Operations
This Qualification is the entry level into security and is required for your initial License with the Licensing & Regulation Division of Victoria. Certificate II in security operations gives you the skills and knowledge required to work as a Security Officer in Victoria under the Private Security Sector.
This qualification allows a combined licensed outcome which includes - Unarmed Guard, Security Guard, Crowd Control & Control Room Operator including Monitoring centre.
All security licence applications are processed through LRD - Licensing & Regulation Division of Victoria (Victorian Police)

Entry Requirements
Melbourne Training College requires learners to:
- Be at least 18 years of age. (MTC can enrol learners from 17.6 months of age however, LRD Licensing require a minimum age of 18 years plus for any person to be licensed)
- Be an Australian / New Zealand citizen or Permanent Australian resident or hold a Working Rights Visa
- Provide 100 points of Identification
- Meet the ASQA entry requirements - To undertake a Language, Literacy, Numeracy test (LLN) upon enrolment
- Meet the general suitability criteria - (Applicant must not be deemed a prohibited person) Am I eligible for a Victorian Security License?
